Green Moss on the roof
It is always good to sporadically look at your roof. You always want to check for missing or lifting shingles but also keep an eye out for Green Moss. Green Moss is bad for your roof. By nature, moss is wet and has constant moisture on your roof. Moss becomes a heavy blanket of moisture on your roof which can lead to wood rot, bacteria, and mold growth. Moss can shorten the lifespan of your roof significantly. Green Moss can be removed by cleaning your roof with a spray solution. Never use a power washer to clean your roof, you will remove the granules from the shingles.
